Rowdy Chandler is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Royse City, TX who attends Royse City HS. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Pirmary shortstop with compact stride while working to and through the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly and worked through exchange efficiently. Primarily released from a lower three-quarters arm slot that generated some on line carry across the infield at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays balanced and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Looked to work to the middle of the field but flashed the barrel control to work to all fields as well. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. High leg lift and stays slightly flexed on back side. Compact arm slot and released from a three-quarters arm slot, tends to drop to a lower three-quarters arm slot at times. Fastball flashed some sinking action through the zone with occasional run in the low 70's, topped at 74 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with looser spin and some depth when staying on top of offering in the low 60's. Excellent student.
