Jacob Shaver is a 2019 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Salt Lake City, UT who attends Jordan. Athletic and physical frame. Ran a 6.94 second 60 yard dash, 4.50 second home to first. Primary shortstop, good footwork all around with athletic actions that play the baseball smoothly, soft hands at the point of gather, plenty of range especially up the middle, good arm strength topping out at 85 mph across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, starts his repeatable delivery with a side step to a high leg lift, full arm action up to a high 3/4 slot, uses his lower half nicely driving down the mound, quick arm that could project for more with some minor adjustment, fastball is mostly straight while showing some cutting action occasionally, topped out at 86 mph on the mound, feel for his slider that is a swing and miss offering. Also took reps in the outfield, comes through the baseball fielding it out in front similarly to his infield actions. Righthanded hitter, wide base with a slightly open stance, present bat speed with plenty of fluidity to the stroke, strong hands with lots of quickness to the ball, effortless swing and the ball jumps off of his barrel, gets plenty of extension through contact showing pop to all fields.
