Ismael Sanchez is a 2012 SS/3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Ruben Rodriguez Figueroa HS. Tall strong build. Hit two home runs from the left side during BP, flashes occasional lift and power created with good leverage in swing. Lacks consistency against high level pitching, raw skills but has underlying tools to develop. More polished hitter from the right side, swing has some moving parts to it that resulted in an all-or-nothing showing against quality pitching (and he had impressive moments). Could develop with more experience against high level players, has shown ability to dominate in the past, needs to get more reps against quality competition. Excellent student.
