Anthony Hutting is a 2009 OF/P/1B with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA who attends Tesoro HS. He has a strong, compact athletic build and the look of a ballplayer. Hutting is a good, well-rounded player with a classic left-handed stroke. He is a really good hitter and there is no reason to suggest he will be anything but as he moves through high school and into college. His barrel stays in the zone a long time and he sprays the ball to all fields, while staying behind the baseball with his hands and his body. That is an indication of future power, though he already shows some on the pull side. His hands are quick and he is short to the ball. In the outfield he showed off a good arm, with some carry on his throws. Better yet is that Hutting has a quick release and is accurate with his throws. He could play any of the three outfield spots at the college level. Hutting is a really good D1 prospect and someday likely will get an opportunity to play pro ball.
