KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Jayci Needling is a 5'10, class of 2026. 1B/OF from Jonesboro, IL who attends Anna-Jonesboro. Jayci is a young and upcoming athlete who shows commendable ability at more than one position. She ran a 3.25 20-yard dash with a 1.14 5-yard split. A primary first baseman, Jayci shows measured footwork. and consistent movement to field. Her glove plays really well and her 50-mph throws are routinely accurate. She also took a turn in the outfield. She shows solid footwork to position and plays through the fielding cation with routine effort. She transitions well and her 51-mph throws are accurate. Solid actions on defense. At the plate, Jayci has a plus bunt tool. Handles the bat really well. She is balanced at the ready and takes an exaggerate stride. She has a steeper, power hitter's bat path. When on time and on plane, she can impact the ball well. Power will come as she matures and gains experience. Jayci has the right idea and through her positive body language one can tell that softball is very important to her. Her effort level is off the charts good. With continued attention to detail, a dedication in the weight to add strength and flexibility, and exposure to higher level competition, Jayci will continue to make strides in her fundamentally solid game. Can't wait to see this young player, with emerging talent, grow into a prospect. Solid future!
