Walker McElwain is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends Bishop O'Connell. Longer frame with present lean musculature and solid athletic overall actions with more to come. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Primary position 1B, showing good foundational mechanics and emerging glove work in reps. Plays a touch high in his legs but moved well on his feet and was comfortable around the bag. Feeds up to 76 mph accurately across the diamond. Reps on the IF as well, not quite as refined but making plays. Corner infield actions and throws up to 74 mph here. Secondary RHP, working from the modified stretch with a low handset following the leg lift up for rhythm. Breaks into a short, compact arm path and whippy action to release. Shorter stride and will get rotational but showed good feel for what he's doing on the bump. FB with some run up to 75 mph generating ground ball outs. Vertical CB and fading CH for off speed selection all showing potential for plus pitches down the line. Uses an inline and in his base stance to start offensively. Swing with aggression and intent to do damage. Repeated mechanics well, gets on plane and to the barrel with regularity. Solid round of BP and showed his best juice to the pull side gap. Young athlete with two-way potential for sure who is also an excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
