Hagan Ward is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-7 230 lb. frame from Wellesley, MA who attends St. Sebastian's School. Extra large build. Slow paced step by step delivery with a 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 91 mph with some running life. Worked mostly off his slurve type breaking ball, varied the velocity between 74 and 78 mph with some sweeping depth, landed the breaking ball virtually every time, hitters didn't appear to see the ball very well. Very quick outing of strikes and soft contact. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
