Cole Stapler is a 2013 1B with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Geismar, LA who attends Dutchtown HS. Extra strong big build, mature look. Right handed hitter, long and strong swing approach, loose and fluid out front, looks to get arms extended and lift the ball, tends to stay over his back side and uppercut, can hit mistakes over the plate a long way, long game home run. 7.56 runner, big target at first base, moves well enough for the next level defensively. Did not pitch at this event but has consistently shown an upper 80's fastball at past events and is a two-way prospect. Signed with Nicholls State.
