2022 PG Softball KC Scouting Combine - Fall
Katelyn Klever is a 2025 RHP/2B, UT from Polk City, IA who attends North Polk. Katelyn is a great two way athlete who showcased her ability to not only dominate on the mound but her ability to hit and play other positions as well at our Kansas City Combine this past October. On the mound Katelyn is a right handed pitcher who has a solid mouton and a great foundation of mechanics. Has five main pitches that she focuses on: fastball, changeup, curveball, riseball and screwball. She does a great job spotting her pitches on the corners of the plate, and her change up is a great speed differential to her other pitches. Her change up is a great pitch to offset hitters and she does a great job keeping it low in the zone for a chase pitch. Overall on the mound she does a great job with her spin and keeping hitters off balanced. Not only does she handle business on the mound she does a great job fielding her position as well. She does a really good job staying low and athletic when she jumps off the mound, and is able to add coverage tot he short game with her athleticism. Offensively, she does a great job staying short to the ball and taking her barrel through extension. Utilizes more upper body but when was able to engage her lower half she did a great job generating power gap to gap of the field. Overall, Katelyn is a athletic pitcher who has the ability to play at the collegiate level. She has the tools and fountain that she needs to compete. I am excited to see what the future has in store for her.
